After months, maybe even a year of inactivity on my website, I have experienced things in my life that have encouraged me to dedicate this portion of my life to scribing down my thoughts and practicing my typing skills. Therefore, I want to make a new dedication starting from today, more specifically, from this post and onward. I am going to promise myself to maintain my website through weekly updates about my thoughts on life. To help guide myself and any readers that I may or may not attract, I will structure my thoughts around certain themes that I am interested in learning more about. These themes are 1) the Philippines 2) Education and 3) Health.
The themes that I have just listed might be as broad as understanding histories of migration from peoples of the Philippines, especially migration patterns that draw connections with my parents own move out of the Philippines to the U.S. when my mom was 18 years old, so I estimate that the date was 1970.
In education I will focus on various forms of how knowledge gets transferred from one individual to the next and in health I might adopt a holistic approach to health considering the multiple needs that each person needs to satisfy their mind, body, soul, senses, energy, whatever you want to call it.
The difference I believe I have this second time around where I am committing to writing is that I have a purpose now. That purpose is to figure out what I am good at as well as what I am not good at. And one of the methods that I believe will be effective in isolating those skills I excel at is reflecting upon my thoughts and most importantly, writing them down. This is an effective practice because it should help me feel more comfortable formulating my thoughts and it should be good practice for me to see how well I can get my thoughts across to other people, with the intention of sharing whatever good information comes my way.
So, just to recap, I am rededicating myself to my blog and updating my website so that I can better identify my purpose. By recognizing my purpose I will be more aware of how I can help those around me.
Thanks for reading!
